Parmish Verma injured in gunshot by a gangster in Mohali

Singer, actor and music producer Parmish Verma has been injured in a gunshot fired by Punjab gangster Dilpreet Dahan. The incident took place on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, when Parmish was returning home in Mohali with his friend Kulwant, after a performance at a mall in Chandigarh. According to Mohali SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal, when the two reached Sector 74, Dilpreet opened fire on them outside a housing society.

The two were admitted to a multi-specialty hospital in Mohali. Hospital sources say that while Parmish did not get injured from the bullet, it was his friend who was shot in the leg, even as the bullet grazed past Parmish' leg, leaving the singer with a wound. After committing the crime, Dilpreet admitted to have shot Parmish with a post on his facebook.

Parmish is a popular face of the Punjabi music industry and had made his acting debut last year with Rocky Mental. His famous songs include Gaal Ni Kadni and Shada. Recently, Parmish had also been roped in to play the lead in the Punjabi remake of Ajay Devgn starrer Singham. He posted a picture on with a caption, “Mein dilpreet singh dhahan sariya nu dasna chaunda k ajj parmish verma de goliya bazian apa mariya.. (I, Dilpreet Singh Dahan, want to tell everyone that I shot Parmish Verma).” Dahan, who is a wanted criminal in the murder case of a sarpanch in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur, further went on to threaten the singer and wrote that “this is not the end”
